The Loveland Lightning is a community based softball program offered by LSA, focused on developing young girls’ softball and leadership skills.  Girls that will be involved in the program will have the opportunity to further develop their skills through additional practice, instruction, and competitive play.  The Loveland Lightning is a further development of the competitive program that LSA has offered in years past.  LSA has decided to form teams earlier, so the teams will be able to practice over the winter months to be more prepared when the season starts. While we love multi-sport athletes, we ask that softball be the priority sport in the spring season.

LSA will be forming teams at the 10U & 14U ages for the 2022 spring season.  In the future, the program may be expanded to other age groups based upon interest and talent level of the girls at an individual age level.

LSA will be holding a series of tryouts for the teams between July and August.  The location will be Lever Park and the dates and times will be announced soon.  At the conclusion of the tryouts, the teams will be formed and coaches will be selected.

We will be working on budgets for the teams in the next two weeks and will have more information about the cost of the program by the start of the tryouts.
