The Loveland Lightning is a competitive softball program offered by Loveland Softball Association (LSA), focused on developing young girls’ softball and leadership skills. This program is for those players who are wanting to play at a more competitive level than our recreational program offers. Girls who will be involved in the program will have the opportunity to further develop their skills through additional practice, instruction, and competitive play. LSA has decided to form our competitive teams earlier, so the teams will be able to practice over the winter months to be more prepared when the spring season starts.
While we love multi-sport athletes, we ask that softball be the priority sport in the spring season.
LSA plans to form, based on talent and interest, Lightning teams at the 10U, 12U & 14U ages for the 2026 spring season. We will be holding a series of tryouts for the teams in July 2025. The location will be Loveland High School (LHS) and the dates and times are listed below. At the conclusion of the tryouts, the teams will be formed and then coaches will be selected. Players in the Loveland Softball Association must live or go to school in the Loveland (Ohio) School District.
All tryouts will be at LHS. Tryouts are for 10U, 12U, and 14U. Players only need to attend 1 session but may attend both if desired.
